The following applies to our Live Steam running days.

Running Live Steam Locos at Glendale Junction

Following our recent insurance renewal it has come to light that anyone running live steam locos at our premises will need to have their own Public Liability insurance covering this situation.

If you are a paid-up member of the Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers they provide Public Liability up to £5,000,000.

Membership costs:

UK resident (18 years and older) £17.00

UK residents (Family) (One adult Member, together with second adult and/or children (Affiliates) living at the same address) £18.00

If you have your own railway insurance this may provide you with Public Liability. It is unlikely that your household insurance will cover you for Public Liability in this instance even though it may cover your railway.

If you wish to run live steam on our track we will require proof of your Public Liability Insurance. If you are a member of the Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers, your membership card is not sufficient, as they are not replaced every time you renew your membership. The carrier sheet, which is sent with your magazine each quarter, will provide this proof, or some other proof of Public Liability cover if you are not a member will be needed.
